Drawings made in
the soil surface (geoglyphs) are representations of animals, fishes,
birds, human figures, plants, straight lines, spirals forms and
trapezoids and were made by ancient Nasca civilization (400 b.C. -
600 d.C.), besides many figures are represented in textiles an
ceramics nasca as well as a proof of carbon 14 applied on the ropes,
huarango poles and remains of 525 bc. and this is the best evidence
that it were made by the ancient Nasca.
The first lines
were discovered in 1927 by Mejνa Xesspe, in 1939 Paul Kosok discover
the shape of a giant figure after in 1941 Maria Reiche start her
researching work and protection of the lines for ever 45 years and
make them known in the world.
She said this
lines and figures were made for predicting seasons and
constellations to guide agriculture and other activities the
religious figures representing deities according andean cosmology,
trapezoids were sacred places where rituals and offerings were being
wade.

SCHEDULE: The bus picks up the passengers from the hotel at the
stated time. It starts a short tour by the ancient downtown,
following it gets into the Cathedral for a guided visit, then it
makes a visit to Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, afterwards it
starts a tour to enter and visit the four ruins nearby:
Sacsayhuaman,
Qenqo, Puca pucara, Tambomachay, when ending the tour the passengers
are taken to their respective hotels or if they wish they stay in
the Main Square.
CATHEDRAL: It was
constructed between 1560 and 1664, great blocks of red granite were

goldsmith and paintings from Cusco of the colonial epoch.
KORICANCHA: It

town of Aguas Calientes lasts approximately three and a half hours,

The advantage of this tour is the optimization of your time visiting
the island. With this tour we bring you to the non-touristy side of
the island and let you enjoy encounters with local families,
examination of textile designs of Taquile, interpretation of the
traditional clothing and way of life of people.
6:45a.m.: Pick-up from your hotel in downtown Puno.
7:00a.m. : The boat is ready to depart in the direction of the reed
islands of UROS (floating' islands).
7:30a.m. : Visit of Uros floating island.
11:30a.m. : We arrive at the southern dock of Taquile Island. We
start a 30 minute hike (difficulty level: easy to moderate) towards
the exhibition point.
11:50a.m. : During 30 minutes we enjoy encounters with local
families, examination of textile designs of Taquile, interpretation
of the traditional clothing and the way of life of people from
Taquile. After the exhibition, we continue our hike to the
